Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Formwork

Appropriate for individuals aged 16 and over and are involved in assembling, installing and subsequently removing formwork

Qualification times can be as little as 4 to 8 weeks!

Upon completion of the qualification, you will be awarded the NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Formwork

 We can provide CSCS tests and CSCS Cards alongside the qualifications without the need to attend the test centre. Speak with our friendly and helpful team for more information.

During the NVQ

Complete your NVQ in 4 – 8 weeks Using our Online Portfolio System

Your dedicated NVQ assessor will help you complete:

  1. A set of knowledge questions – you can write these or have a discussion with your assessor.
  2. Gain a witness testimony. We will provide you with the document.
  3. Gather copies of site documents.
  4. Take photos & videos of you carrying out the work on your site.

COMPLETING YOUR NVQ

This can be completed in 4 weeks as long as you are prepared to work with your assessor and gather the correct evidence.

Once completed you will receive your NVQ diploma which is approved by CITB.

Questions and answers account for around 50% of the qualification criteria. You will be provided with access to an online e-portfolio of questions where you can write your answers to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding and send them to your assessor for support, marking and feedback.

You can access this e-portfolio to work on the questions and answers anytime, from anywhere and your assessor can quickly access the information which helps to speed up the qualification process.

Observed criteria account for around 50% of the qualification criteria. Your assessor will come to site to carry out the observation where possible, however, due to the current Coronavirus restrictions, observations are increasingly carried out over video call or by providing work product evidence or video recordings.

Once the necessary criteria are fulfilled the qualification is achieved, there is no final exam.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

We will discuss your job role and experience with you at the outset to ensure that you are working at the right level to achieve the qualification.

We take account of the individual learning needs of all candidates when formulating your individual assessment and delivery plan to ensure that any assessment considerations are accounted for.

You may be able to claim up to £600 through the CITB grants and funding scheme, however, you will need to submit your own claim upon completion of the qualification.

NVQ Level 2 Qualifications enable you to claim your Blue CSCS Card.

Progression from level 2 qualifications could include the role of the lead installer, ganger or work supervisor and lead to level 3 Supervisory qualifications that enable you to claim your Gold CSCS Card on completion.
