We recently had the pleasure of supporting former international Rugby supremo Maurie Fa’asavalu in the undertaking of his Level 2 Certificate in Dry Lining Finishing following his retirement from professional and international Rugby.

Following an illustrious career where the former Samoa, Great Britain, England, St Helens and Harlequins star played at the highest level across both Rugby Union and Rugby League, in the World Cup, Challenge Cup and Super League (amongst other accolades) we asked Maurie what had made him decide to choose to set up business within the construction sector?

Maurie advised that remaining active and working as part of a team had been important aspects of his working life that he felt Construction would also offer and added that he continues to be happy with his choice. Maurie added that he has now been successfully operating in the Construction sector in and around the Northwest of England for over a year and continues to enjoy his work alongside the learning and progression that he is undertaking within his daily activity and with Up-Skilled Ltd adding that he now has his sights set upon Supervisory and Managerial qualifications in the near future.

We would like to take the opportunity to welcome Maurie to the construction industry and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Maurie is currently tendering contracts in the Northwest and enquiries should be directed to Up-Skilled via the contact form on the web page at www.up-skilled.co.uk/contact.
